Chiang Mai Trip Part 2

Day 3:
Woke up late hence skipped breakfast heh.
Day trip to Chiang Rai!
First stop was a hot spring but bb and i skipped it,
Because it's so hard to dip our legs in the water with our jeans hmmm.
Next was White Temple!
Crazy love this place, i must say.
Gonna spam so much photos on this hehe.

It's not really a temple, more like a building with really nice architecture that looks like one.
It's somehow an explanation of how the world works.
First they start with hell, from all the hands and skulls in front of the bridge of the temple.
Then when you reincarnate, you become human and you get to walk on the bridge of life.
If you manage to go to heaven, you eventually enter the 'temple',
Where you will be floating etc.
Therefore over there, if you want to take a look at the temple,
You will have to make an entire round.
The security there do not let you make any u-turns, no going back to hell from heaven LOL.
Anyways what i really love about this place is that they even have cartoons on the walls inside!!
Secretly managed to snap some shots of it,
Especially my favourite bumblebee and batman hehe.
Sadly though, this place was still under reconstruction because part of it fell during the earthquake.
And they are also in progress of building another part of it!
Mad love this place.
There's also another temple called Black Temple, but sadly it isn't in our tour.

Anyways other than the temple itself, they also have other buildings within the compound!
Cannot really remember the yellow building, but the one outside of it is actually the toilet!!!

And another area for hanging of wishing cards.
Even the decorations on the trees are soooooo nice.
Oh they also have the cut out boards of the designer/owner of the place almost everywhere LOL.
I think he feels like a kpop star over there? hahahahah.

Lunch then proceed to the border of Myanmar, Mae Sai to shop around.
Nth much for bb and i, so mostly we were searching for food........ again hahahah.
Well my favourite is always the 7-11 stores in Thailand hehe.

Next to Golden Triangle!
Its the place where they used to grow and sell opium...
Its called golden because in the past when there were no currency, they used gold bars to trade.
The river actually feeds 5 countries - Laos, China, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.
It is also where the Mae Kok River and Mae Kong River meets, hence the difference in the colours.
Feel's kinda like the Yin and Yang in Taiwan but of course the colour difference... hahahah.

After the golden triangle, we went over to Khamthana Hotel for our dinner!
Really nice place............ if i have a chance to go back to Chiang Rai next time, definitely stay there.
It's really quiet and clean, like really really peaceful.
The food there was good too!
3 hours ride back to Chiang Mai, then night market shopping again and we got a small luggage heh.

Day 4:
Last morning in Chiang Mai so i sacrificed my sleep to capture the sunrise hahaha.
Kinda failed with my time lapse video though because the gap was too big in between):
And there was a patch of cloud which blocked everything):

After breakfast, we went for bungy jumpppppp!
This event was arranged on our own because i had always wanted to go on one hehe.
Took package F where we would get the cert, shirt, dvd, photos and 2 JUMPS!
Well for both jumps i was too scared so i requested for the person to push me instead HAHHAA.
Damn coward mytiannnnnnnn.
It was a really good experienceee, can't wait to go on more adventures like this hehe.

Played go kart and back to hotel to wash up and pack up.
Black canyon coffee for lunch at the airport then went to take our flight already.

Concludes my last trip for this year i guess?
Since the boy is now is ns and its Q4 so work is kinda alot more busy right now.
Can't wait for our future trips together next timeee.
Till next post, xx!
